Queen of Hearts Regular Bridge Knave of Hearts

 

Queen of Clubs

  Duplicate bridge is played every MONDAY, TUESDAY and THURSDAY evening and     WEDNESDAY afternoon (except at Christmas and other times when the Club is closed).

 

Knave of Clubs

MONDAY and TUESDAY evenings at 7.0pm:  restricted to  Bridge Section members, who should normally come with a pre-arranged partner. (This is not essential  however, because a host may be available if there is an odd number of players) Other players may, subject to the rules of the Club be  introduced as guests.



Queen of Diamonds

WEDNESDAY afternoons, the Bridge Section runs sessions for newcomers to duplicate which are open to all Club members. These are not bridge classes for complete beginners, but opportunities for less experienced players, especially those who have recently completed one or more of the courses of lessons organised by the Bridge Section to get support and advice. Participants draw for partners though they may come with a pre-arranged partner on their first three visits. Play begins at 2 p.m.
 



Knave of Diamonds

THURSDAY evenings are open to all Club members. and are intended for slightly less experienced players. Participants normally draw for partners, though they may come with a pre-arranged partner on their first three visits (Again, a host may be available). Play begins at 7.0pm.



 
Queen of Spades

Club members who would like to join the Bridge Section may play on a trial basis on Monday or Tuesday evening for a maximum of three sessions. Membership application  forms are available from Reception or can be downloaded from this site.



 
Queen of Hearts

Membership fee is £1 a year. Table money is currently 40p per player (Wednesday

afternoon 20p) per session, while guests pay table money plus 50p.
